I am always pleased to acknowledge the fine leadership provided by many elected municipal officials in Mississippi. I am particularly proud of the exceptional leadership and vision exhibited by Mayor Gene McGee of City of Ridgeland.
On numerous occasions, he has spoken to the Mississippi Congressional Delegation regarding issues that effect City of Ridgeland and all citizens of Mississippi. I have always found him to be educated on the issues, an effective spokesman on behalf of those he serves and a tireless advocate. Additionally, as a result of the detailed, long-term plans developed under his leadership, City of Ridgeland has been positioned to take advantage of federal grants and funding. This has allowed City of Ridgeland to accomplish important projects without raising taxes or requiring taxpayer funding.
I congratulate the Mayor on his fine service and wish him well as he continues to lead City of Ridgeland into the future.

When we first moved here from Texas 15 years ago there was only Ridgeland Elementary. Patrick has the honor of being part of the class to exit each school and promptly enter a brand new one, Eric and Kaitie will follow through the years.
